Chocolate Covered Cherry Cream Puff

About the Recipe

Creamy and sweet Mascarpone adds a burst of both flavor and texture!


One 10 ounce package of puff pastry shells

1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

8 ounces Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Mascarpone Cheese

1/3 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla flavoring

18 whole maraschino cherries, drained

3 ounces microwaveable dipping milk chocolate wafers


Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place the 6 shells on a large baking sheet 2 inches apart and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until light golden. Cool.

In a medium mixing bowl, with an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the whipping cream until stiff.

Beat in the mascarpone cheese and confectioner’s sugar until completely mixed. Beat in the vanilla flavoring. Press down the center of each of the pastry shells. Fill with equal portions of the cream. Top each shell with 3 cherries.

Melt the chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave on 10 second intervals, stirring after each. Drizzle on top of the cream filling and cherries.

Serve immediately or if serving later, chill.
